Most of us have wanted to loose belly fat at one point or another in our lives, only to be disappointed when it proves hard to get rid of. One of the most effective, and often overlooked, ways to accomplish this goal is cardiovascular exercise. If done right, the following four cardiovascular exercises will bust though belly fat in no time at all.
Perhaps the simplest and most effective way to burn belly fat, running often yields better results in short periods of time. It also worksyour entire body, from your head to your toes. To achieve maximum results, alternate your speed with periods of sprinting and jogging. Another benefit of running is that no extra equipment is required, so not only will you be burning calories but saving money as well. Just be sure to wear a good pair of running shoes to prevent your feet from getting sore and blistered.
Another cardiovascular exercise that works out a large percentage of the muscles in your body, swimming provides many extra benefits. Not only will it burn belly fat quickly, it will help increase your strength and stamina. Swimming builds muscle tissue which in turn increases your metabolism. And we all know that an increased metabolism means more calories being burned. So on those hot summer days when there seems to be no relief from the heat, find the nearest body of water and start swimming. Start slowly with a simple breaststroke before working yourself up to more laps and more difficult positions.
Riding a Bike
If for some reason running and swimming aren’t options for you, cycling is a great alternative. You can do it outdoors or inside on a stationary bike. Just be sure to avoid models of stationary bikes with back rests to get the most from your workout. Cycling can be a fun activity to do with friends or neighbors. If you’re already in reasonable shape, mountain biking is an even better way to go. With all of the inclines and rough terrain, you can easily burn double the amount of calories than just cycling around the neighborhood will burn.
Hiking is a great way to have fun and enjoy being outdoor while burning calories. Whether you’re hiking on a mountain trail or deep in dense woods, you’ll most likely forget that you’re exercising in the first place. And with seeing something new every time you go hiking, it rarely becomes boring and repetitive like many other cardiovascular exercises. Traversing the diverse terrain burns many different muscles from the calves, thighs, and glutes to the abs, shoulders, and biceps. Wear a good pair of boots and bring plenty of water with you to avoid dehydration.
While cardiovascular exercises done properly are the best way to burn belly fat, they may not be a viable option. If for some reason you can’t exercise, there is an alternative. While not as fast as running, swimming, cycling, or hiking, An ab belt will help tone your core in the comfort of your home.
